Russia Delays Bilateral Summit With India to Late 2025
Russia has postponed its annual bilateral summit with India, pushing the high-level talks to late 2025. India and Russia continue to engage in active defense and energy agreements. India recently finalized new arms procurement deals, including advanced helicopter platforms and naval systems from Russia. Meanwhile, the two countries are expanding their investment in nuclear energy, with additional reactors underway at the Kudankulam site.
Despite the summit delay, both governments maintain routine dialogue through the Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Technical Cooperation. Indian officials confirmed that ministerial-level talks will continue in parallel with summit rescheduling.
